Church EventsSunday Worship is at 9 a.m., with Holy Communion celebrated on the first and third Sundays, and special holy days. Sunday School resumes on September 19th at 9:30 a.m. Children attend the first part of the worship service, and then are led to the Sunday School room for a special lesson geared to their age. Our school is small, and individual care is a keynote. Just show up around 9:30 in the main hall of the church buildings. You will be cordially received. Ages 4 - grade 6. Saturday Worship is normally celebrated on the third Saturday of the month at 6 p.m. It always includes Holy Communion, and is a continual 'work in progress;'its basic characteristics otherwise are an informality of presentation, lay and/or clergy presentation of the sermon, and short hymns, easily sung to a piano, keyboard and guitar [plus occasional other instruments] accompanimnent. Next Saturday services: August 21; September 18; October 16. Monday Discussion Group resumes on September 13 in the church narthex, 9:30 to 11 a.m. This class occasionally does Scripture study, but it is basically here-and-now oriented; looking at the church and the world from an engaged Christian perspective. All are invited; just come by to listen, join in and add your perspective. CRAFT FAIR AND FLEA MARKET, our annual fund-raiser, will be held on Saturday, October 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the church grounds and in the main hall. There will be food served,crafts and home-made baked items for sale, a flea market, activities for children, hay rides, scarecrow making, etc. Please note: No outside vendors Congregational Meeting will be on Sunday, September 12, following the 9 a.m. service. New council members will be elected, and officers chosen, in addition to regular business and reports.
