Welcome to Salem Lutheran Children Center's web site!  We have been serving the Jarrettsville area and the surrounding communities for over twenty years with quality day care and accredited three- and four-year-old nursery school program.  Some information is contained on this site, but if you would like further information, please telephone or e-mail us.  We are open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. We are located on Norrisville Rd. (Route 23) across the road from Jarrettsville Elementary School, just under a mile west of the intersection of Routes 23 and 165.  Salem Lutheran Children Center (SLCC) is an outreach ministry of Salem Lutheran Church, and is licensed and accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education as a non-public nursery school. Our nursery program is as follows:   a) A four-year-old program which meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  There are two sessions, 9 to 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 to 3 p.m.  The maximum class size is 20 children with one teacher and one aide per class.   b) A three-year-old program meeting on Tuesday and Thursday, and again with two sessions, 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 3 p.m.  The maximum class size is 16 children with one teacher and one aide per class. C) A 4 year old five day Kindergarten Readiness Class which meets 9 to 12:00 p.m. The maximum class size is 20 children with one teacher and one aide per class. Day care is available for ages three through grade five 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Before and after school day care programs are available K-5.
