Helping Hand Sunday and Picnic

Following the Sunday Worship Service, we will break into groups to do service work inside and outside of the church until lunch.  Bring gardening gloves and tools to assist in your outside work.  A picnic lunch and time of fellowship and celebration will follow.

This day Salem is also gathering articles to assemble satchels (bags) for Seafarers International Christmas-at-Sea project.  Salem will provide satchels for the project.

The following articles are needed to fill each satchel:

• One sweatshirt – hooded or unhooded (size M-L-XL)
• Three pairs of socks -thermal or gym
• One T-shirt-long sleeve or short sleeve (size M-L-XL)
• One knitted winter cap (coordinating scarf optional, no pastel colors, fringes or pom-poms for safety concerns)
• One can of nuts, large chocolate bar, or health snack bar
• A Holiday or Christmas card from YOU!

You pick the colors, styles and brands, but do not substitute from the list.  If you are assembling a complete satchel, please do not mix sizes.  You may also provide one or more of the items on the list as you are able.
