Three candlelight services with Holy Communion will be offered at 2:00pm, 7:00pm, and 10:00pm. The protocol below will be followed for the services.
Thank you for arriving by 15 minutes prior to the service to allow time for parking and seating.
Masks are optional.
Please park near the entrance to the church for those who choose to remain in their car or must remain in their car as they are unable to wear a mask.
The FM Radio Transmitter Frequency for those in the car is FM 107.1.
The main offering box is located in the narthex near the entrance doors to the sanctuary. We will not be passing the offering plate at this time.
Holy Communion will be served using the following protocol:
Wine and bread will be served. Prepackaged communion will also be available. No Common Cup at this time.
Distribution of communion elements will be served in a continuous single line in front of the altar.
An usher will provide directions to approach the altar using the center aisle, starting from the rear.
Return to your seats following the outer path located to the outside of the pews (close to the windows). Example: If seated on the left side of the church as facing the altar, return using the left side and so on.
Walk toward the altar where Pastor and assistant will distribute the bread and wine wearing gloves.
After receiving the bread, wine, and blessing continue to either side of pastor to a table where you will give yourself the elements.
Prepackaged communion will be brought by ushers to those worshiping from their vehicles.
One restroom is available, the first one in the back hallway.
Childcare and nursery are not available.
Worship will last approximately 45 minutes.
Names will be recorded at the entrance for contact tracing.
Everyone has the option to enjoy the service either from their car with the radio tuned to FM 107.1 or the online service posted on Salem’s website “salemjarrettsville.org”.
