The Vigil of Easter is the most ancient of Christian worship liturgies, as it welcomes Easter morning. It traditionally includes a procession of the Paschal Candle and announcement three times that this is “The Light of Christ.” It often includes, as in the past, baptism of new members or an affirmation of baptism. The service concludes with the Eucharist and the announcement that “Christ is risen, Alleluia!” with the response “He is risen indeed!” Our service will begin at 7:00 pm.
